The nuts have been gun blued. Although similar in length to the wires of two outermost bays, they are about an inch too short for those positions. Jamb nuts are drawn up and then given 1/12th of a turn which is half flat. Also included are two rubber tubes to act as anti-chafe spacers equivalent 0422295.

Per the AD and Cessna Service Letter on wing wires, they are to be hand tightened until there is no longitudinal movement then each nut two ends of wire given one full turn. Please see the drawings. It is recommended that once installed, the remaining exposed threads be coated with paragliding or LPS3. They have been chemically cleaned, anti-rust treated, and then epoxy primed.
