That's a lot of trying to figure out who is responsible for what whom. This is just the aluminum cover assembly and plastic cap underneath. The distributor cap looks undamaged as I see no cracks, burn marks or scrapes. This was in his spares inventory.
Great replacement part for a damaged mag assembly. Nice parts source or fun little PW, GE and Briggs souvenir. Let's call this one used. We got it from an old firebombed operator who flew A-26 Invaders fighting forest fires.
Type S18LG-P1B as manufactured with Pratt Whitney number 90100 but actually made during the war years by Briggs Stratton out of Milwaukee factory. What you see in the picture series is exactly what get. Magneto is a G.E. Missing three stainless steel mounting screws.
But it is a testament to Americas wartime production might where everyone got involved and actually DID something. Cast aluminum cover is good and the hardware.
